Lorenzo Owens has a gift of song that moves the soul. Lorenzo joins the ranks of talented singers like Brian Mcknight and Maxwell who have introduced beautiful melodic tones in the R&B genre. With a sound reminiscent of legends David Ruffin, Donnie Hathaway, and Marvin Gaye coupled with timeless, poignant lyrics, Lorenzo delivers a thoughtfully creative musical experience. A Milwaukee native residing in Chicago, Lorenzo discovered his true passion for singing while in college. He reflected, "being a midwesterner, we weren't taught that a career in music was something attainable.

However, after a few years of singing background for national acts, I understood that there was irreplaceable energy that came from audiences when I belted out' a tune. I decided with a bit of fear that I would go for it.", After being selected out of thousands to compete on Oprah's Pop Star Challenge, Lorenzo impressed millions including the show's owner with his rendition of Stevie Wonders All is Fair in Love. His hit Rainbows which was featured in President Obama's campaign moved the masses with its an inspirational message of hope and change. His uplifting theme Wanna See You Smile was also featured in Verizon's national advertising campaign, also reaching #21 on Billboard's R&B charts. Entertaining audiences worldwide with shows in Japan, Australia, and London, Lorenzo has toured with notable musicians and singers including India Arie, Kem, Eric Benet, and Robin Thicke.
