Soul food…it’s long been considered the cuisine that so-called black folks (Indigenous Negroes) created in the southern part of America. (Turtle Island)  But soul food is also given credit to “Native American” dishes, which in in code, also means Indigenous Negro Indian cuisine.  You know the dishes that are considered soul food; fried chicken/fish, collard/turnip greens, black eyed peas, corn, macaroni and cheese, cornbread, hamhocks...the foods we all grew up eating.  Contrary to popular belief, all soul foods did not originate in the Americas, let alone Turtle Island.  Join me and guest Tasha Xi as we discuss all things Soul Food.
