The propaganda and lies of Indigenous Negroes being cast as beast has created perception that has had a lasting impact worldwide.  Europeans commonly refer to us as “monkeys” or missing links, a cross between human and animal.  The reality, however, is the monkey/ape tag, like many other false perceptions, is a projection propagated by our oppressor.  The goal is to make us appear less than human to justify their thievery of our land and resources while brutalizing us in the process.  But anyone that researches European history knows their history is by far closer related to Simians than ours will ever be.  Join me and the Mocha Masseuse, Niecy Lashelle as we discuss how negative stereotyping has affected us and what we can do to counter the false perceptions.
