The Pleasure Principle is defined as, “the instinctive drive to seek pleasure and avoid pain, expressed by the id as the basic motivating force that reduces psychic tension.” I don’t know about the id part, but I do know the Pleasure Principle is about receiving love through giving it. In this day and age where base, animal lust is considered the norm, is the Pleasure Principle still relevant? A better question; who’s making love these days? Making love involves a deep, passionate intimacy that goes well beyond sex. The Pleasure Principle soars to heights where basic lust cannot reach. Today, there’s a disconnection between Indigenous Negro Indians, sexually speaking. Due to a lack of person to person familiarity through learning each other, the Pleasure Principle is fast becoming a lost art, giving way to sexual behavior that’s more ographic than loving. Join me and co-host Niecy Lashelle (the Mocha Masseuse) as we discuss in-depth. 563-999-3442 is the call-in number to the show. Press 1 if you'd like to join in on the discussion.
