The Forbidden Fruit

When I was a child, my mom would give us instructions of what to do before we left the house to go to school. She would say, "Don't talk to strangers, Hold your sisters hand, Walk home together and let no one in the house while I am at work. If you don't obey, you are going to get a whipping when I get home."  Now, my mom was firm in discipline and we knew the consequences of disobeying her would be enforced. 

In Genesis, Chapter 2 verse 16-17, after the LORD took man and placed him in the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it, he gave the instructions or command of what man should and should not do in this garden. 

Today on A Journey in the Word broadcast, I want to share a wonderful lesson with you called, "The Forbidden fruit" our lesson is taken out of Genesis 3:3. 

1 Samuel 15:22 - And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
