Emily Lovejoy is a West Coast artist, where currently she spends her time working on the publication of a children’s book. Her book is To the Moon, and it’s the story of the adventures of Lilith, a young girl, and her best friend Hopsi, a rabbit. The two set out to find the moon, and throughout their journey they cross paths with some colorful characters. It’s a story that reminds us of the importance of community, as Lilith and Hopsi realize that they can only complete their journey if they have help from their neighbors. Emily is illustrating, writing, and publishing the book herself, and it is set to be released at the end of August. In the interview we chat about all aspects of To the Moon and several of Emily’s other passions, such as fashion, cooking, and jewelry making. For more information on To the Moon and Emily Lovejoy visit the author’s crowdfunding campaign, on Kickstarter.com
