BREAK is a film inspired by writer/director Nicholas Santos' personal experiences growing up as a bi-racial teenager in Massachusetts. It tells the story of youth and race in the suburbs.
Nicholas Santos is a filmmaker based out of Brooklyn, NY. He writes, directs, and produces for BullMoose Pictures and is a proud member of the Brooklyn Filmmakers Collective.
Santos was born and raised on Cape Cod, Massachusetts and is of Cape Verdean descent. He attended Ithaca College, where he graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Cinema & Photography.
Nicholas brought his short film WORLDS WE CREATED to 25 film festivals, winning 3 awards, and premiering online on Short of the Week with a Vimeo Staff Pick in 2013. His short film A GOOD FISH, an official selection of the 2014 Indie Memphis Film Festival and three other international film festivals, will premiere online on July 20th.
