Our guest today's program Abby Guyer uses her kind voice to create transformative moments of joy for children with cancer and their families. She is the lead organizer of Children's Cancer Association's (CCA) "music medicine" program, My Music Rx. We will learn all about the way the program uses music to heal and bring comfort. To see an example of the program in action, please check out this beautiful video.
We will also learn all about Bedstock one of the main events of My Music Rx, as well as some of CCA's other remarkable programs. Bedstock featured performances from 57 artists in the last two years. This years event coming up on Nov. 29th promises to be "bigger and bedder" than ever, with a cross genre lineup that so far includes bands like Tegan and Sara, Panic! At the Disco, Halestorm, Jasmine Thompson, Masego, Punch Brothers, Valerie June and Lewis Del Mar.
