Americans pretend to be the most caring people on the planet. We say every life matters. Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. Just take a look at how Americans treat their elderly and you will see unbelievable abuse and disrespect.
Most cultures respect and protect their elderly, but today's American culture treats their elderly with little to no respect and as nothing more than a useless nuisance. There is a "Waiting to Die" (WTD) mentality towards the elderly. Simply stick them in a facility and leave them there until they die. How sick is that?? Sad fact....This is the American way.
Let's take a look a the State of Florida.
Question: Is Florida Guardianship a "License to Kill"?
In theory...."Florida Guardianship is only warranted when no less restrictive alternative—such as durable power of attorney, trust, health care surrogate or proxy, or other form of pre-need directive—is found by the court to be appropriate and available". Facts show this is not the case in Florida.
