As a Partner of SecureStrux Nathan Shea manages many operational aspects within the company and is active in strategic planning, partnerships and client delivery. He brings over 15 years of cybersecurity engineering and vulnerability assessment experience, spanning both private and public sectors. He leads the business development efforts for multiple delivery spaces and is responsible for establishing strategic corporate partnerships.

Prior to founding SecureStrux, Nathan was a Cybersecurity Lead and Project Manager for various companies. During his tenure with these firms, he taught cybersecurity classes and lead cybersecurity assessments teams for the Department of Defense (DoD) and various Federal Agencies. He has conducted hundreds of cybersecurity inspections world-wide and supported Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) in evolving USCYBERCOM’s Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) program. He played a key role in the development of DISA’s Cybersecurity courseware to include a White Squad course for USCYBERCOM’s Cyber Protection Teams (CPTs). He developed proof of concepts for distance learning for Application and Mobile Security courses through web-based virtual desktop technologies and helped stand up and deliver Insider Threat Assessments for DISA’s Inspector General (IG).

Nathan is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and holds several technical certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, and Cloud Security Alliance. He is also certified within DISA’s DODIN Readiness Security Inspections (DRSI) Reviewer Certification Program (RCP) as a CCRI Reviewer for USCYBERCOM. Nathan earned a M.S. in Information Security from Capella University and a B.S. in Secondary Education from Millersville University.
