Until recently, a diagnosis of ADHD or autism would stand on its own. These days, however, you can be diagnosed with both conditions. In this episode of Attention Talk Radio, ADHD and attention coach Jeff Copper (www.digoaching.com) and ADHD-complex parent coach Elaine Taylor-Klaus (www.impactparents.com) have an open discussion with Caroline Ritenour. Caroline, diagnosed with ADHD, struggled for many years. The word autism was brought up a few times. Throughout her journey, she received an ADHD diagnosis, and later, a diagnosis of autism. As someone who's incredibly aware of her thoughts and actions, Caroline shares how the two diagnoses came about, their interplay, how one condition masked the other, and how one rears its head. We also discuss how Caroline’s lower support needs are a direct result of her self-awareness. If you suspect you have ADHD and possibly autism, you'll marvel over the insights provided by Caroline as she recounts her lived experience.
