Boeing Boeing - The 737 Max Problem...And Beto-palooza 2020 begins!

As the investigation into the recent crash of an Ethiopian Airlines new 737 Max 8 and the grounding of the entire fleet of MAX worldwide... how did politics play into certain decisions made here in the U.S. and across the globe.  Has the US lost it's credibility as the leader in aviation? Why did the black box go to Europe and not Washington?
