Episode 13 :: Genesis 34 Thru 36 :: Jacob’s Trouble Before Going Back to Bethel

Jacob is a bridge that spans between the past and future—life and death which speaks of continuity.  The great weakness of the American life today is that we have lost that continuity which families employed as a means to live together.  Since our society is very mobile, young people are not readily benefitting from the wisdom and perspectives of the grandparents and great-grandparents.  The result is that valuable wisdom and the perspective of the aged is being taken to the grave.  It is unfortunate.
