EPISODE 18 :: GENESIS 49 THRU 50 :: JACOB'S PROPHECY CONCERNING HIS12 SONS

Observation:  In the past few years I have heard pastors and friends tell those at the memorial service about the Christian who has gone on to be with the Lord, but I have never heard anything said by the deceased during a memorial service.

Question:  Would you rather have others speak of you at your memorial or would you prefer to leave a personally written testimony of God’s guidance and grace.  It would be wise to give a warning against departing from God to be read to those in attendance.  It should also include a reminder to our heirs that the possessions we leave are theirs by the blessing and grace of God.

GENESIS 49:28 PROPHECIES DELIVERED

            Jacob was completely dominated by the Holy Spirit who knew the plan of God for Israel’s 12 tribes and true Israel.  This plan linked the twelve tribes to the coming Messiah from Judah. Joseph suffered at the hands of his brothers, yet he became their salvation as Jesus suffered at the hands of His people (all sinners) and yet He became the salvation sufficient for the entire world.
