EXODUS 4:1 MOSES COMMISSIONED

1 Then Moses said, "What if they will not believe me or listen to what I say? For they may say, 'The LORD has not appeared to you.' "

            Though God conferred upon Moses a very great honor. this is no small undertaking and the reality of it began to weigh upon Moses.  We see there is some difficulty with persuading him to accept the challenge of leading Israel out of Egypt.

            Do you think Moses’ hesitancy was a lack of trust in God’s word and power or was it due to his own insufficiency?  We must be aware that when God brings us from a lowly position, He elevates, He will clothe us with humility so that we can do what He has quipped us to do.  Humility is knowing that we can’t do it, but God can perform His will in and through us.  In other words, it is not so much that we serve Him, but it is what He does in and through us which keeps us from burning out.  We serve with His strength and not our own.
