EPISODE 96 :: THE CHALLENGE OF UNDERSTANDING PREDESTINATION AND ELECTION

Ephesians 1:3-5

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;,…”

I want to make a disclosure by saying that the subjects of election and predestination are the most difficult doctrines in scripture. I personally am not equipped to deal with this subject in a 90-minute podcast because it can only serve to generate more questions that it can answer.  These are doctrines that must be handled with care, caution, compassion, and patience.  I realize that people struggle mightily with these doctrines, but it should not be avoided.
