As we near the end of the 1st decade of the new millennium (2000’s), Internet radio has seen an incredible growth during this decade from when the momentum began to build in 2000. Before Blogtalk Radio which is an incredible platform that has changed “The Game” for talk radio on the internet forever… There were 4 African Americans in the early 2000’s who had a vision about empowering the African Diaspora around the world through Internet Radio. In the early 2000’s there were a few venues on the internet that tried to use this new platform to launch “Black Talk” Radio stations that would empower the community with positive information and culture, however they all came and went by 2004 accept for LIBRadio.com, InnerlightRadio.com, HarambeeRadio.com and BlakeRadio.com who are now amongst probably hundreds of talk shows, streams and stations that are geared towards empowering African American Hosts, Guests, Upliftment, Redemption, Empowerment and Liberation. Keidi Obi Awadu, Brother Jamaal, Dalani Aamon and Neil Blake started their Networks in the early 2000’s and are still broadcasting today. Join them all on Neil Blake Online here on Rainbow Soul Sunday November 7th at 4pm Eastern/1pm Pacific as they discuss the past, present and future of “Black Talk” Radio on the Internet.
