Legendary scribe and sportscaster,Dr.M.Lee"Doc" Stanley,once again takes to the airwaves with his renowned and legendary radio show,the award winning,'Sports In Depth'.
Doc also continues his month long salute to Black history month. While too saluting the birthdays of both hall of fame baseball great and legend,Eddie Murray and boxing's living legend,Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Both celebrate birthdays on the same day,the 24th.The number worn by baseball icon and legend,the incomparable,magnifcent and exciting,Willie Mays.
Murray is a member of a select and rare club in baseball history headed by Mays. They,with latest member,Rafael Palmerio and second charter member,the legendary,"Hammerin" Hank Aaron are in the double 500,3000 hit club. Aaron,himself too celebrated another birthday on the 5th of Black History Month.
All four men outside of reaching the exclusive 3,000 hit club,have also hit over both 500 doubles and homeruns.
They are the only four gents in the history of  the game to do so.
Let it too be duely noted here,especially during BLACK history month,all four are seen as minority players in the sight of the famed so called,"American past time."
Floyd Mayweather Jr., who will be in New York this Tuesday at the legendary,'Apollo" theatre to promote his forthcoming May 5th bout against,Miguel Cotto,in Las Vegas.
He's considered by those in the know,the best fighter in the world today,pound for pound.
It is without question that he is one of the greatest fighters ever to perform inside the,"squared circle."
Doc also talks to boxing's most acclaimed boxing scribe and African-American,Tim Smith of the New York Daily News.
