Irish J Benton is a long time resident of Concord NC. with 3 beautiful children, and one grandchild, Irish endured domestic violence for almost 14 years of her life, where she was losing hope and her identity, In March 2015 with a small cellphone, Irish began finding community events and interviewing others, she took her laptop and would meet individuals as far as Maryland to do interview, which eventually she started a YouTube channel. She invested her own money' and started “Let’s Talk with DivaNation” Irish wrote her first book giving her readers a real 3D look into her life as a victim of domestic violence and dysfunction  titled “Breaking His Silence  that released in October 2016,  This book reached women outside the U.S  she began to work tirelessly speaking at churches, health fairs & beauty boot camps hosted in NC and SC and GA, .In October 2018 she held her first domestic violence survivors award ceremony honoring six women who had survived including Jaronda Pace from Chicago who was a victim to R & B singer R. Kelly,  In August 2018 her 501c- non-profit against domestic violence ‘D.I.V.A. Nation against Battered Women’ (Divinely Inspired Victorious Advocate) was birthed. She also released her second self-published book titled ‘Dear God It’s Me Jean. Uncut. Unmasked. Unfiltered.

Irish won Author of the year in 2017 with her title Breaking His Silence where she was up against Author Omar Tyree who had famously written over thirty titles including ‘Fly Girl’  Gospel Image Awards hosted in 2018 for outstanding community service with victims and survivors of domestic violence, Irish shares her testimony to everyone she encounters.
