Step into A Women's Circle tonight as we discuss Gender Injustice! While some of the societal issues that cause an imbalance of justice for men and women alike, there are and have always been many additional issues and factors unique to women and girls which compound injustice.  Females are frequently left out of reform discussions even though an intentional focus on women and girls is needed to ensure that they fully benefit from policies and reforms. In fact, There is a long standing tradition in the United States of public policy decisions being made by men.  While there are more women in those roles now, it takes time and action to seal the huge systemic legislative and judiciary cracks women and girls have been slipping through since the dawn of our nation.  Effective and just policies will only be created and solid reform will only be made by people who understand the importance of fully assesing the role of gender in the problems they aim to address, the solutions they propose, and the policies they set. If this intentional gender focus does not coexist with the  establishment of certain policies and/or policy reforms an important opportunity for gender justice and equity will be missed and more time wasted!
