The Gumbo Mix Show: Black Wall Street

This episode is dedicated to the story of the most significant community for black people in the early 20th Century. This story has all the good, bad, and ugly of this country interwoven in our history. It is amazing how history unknown can repeat itself with devastating consequences if we don't learn from the mistakes and mishaps that created it. Black people with power have been a threat ever since our work ethic was found useful to an oppressive culture. It is equally amazing how amazing black people can be when working collectively for the common good.
