Black culture being one of the most imitated cultures on the planet is no secret. Due to being one of the most populace peoples on earth there is often culture stealing and culture shock assimilated with black people's culture. Through out the ages other cultures have learned how to build cities and infrastructure. In more recent history the music and couture have been attempted. While some have there anger channeled toward a stolen culture, others see the most flattering compliment in the effort of attempting to duplicate. This episode we discuss what black culture has meant to the world and why it is still so important that we as a people continue to step out of the status quo by reinventing new styles and regurgitating our ancient cultures for the world to see. We will have the lines open for you to discuss how different and mocked becomes trendy and costly after black culture makes it popular. Join us in the kitchen for some spicy talk over Gumbo on Thursday Night.
