Pozitively Dee Discussion March 31st, 2018 at 2 pm PST, ( 3 pm MST Denver Time ) 4 pm CT and 5 pm EST. Call 515-605-9375 to join the discussion. Being diagnosed with HIV is devastating and hard enough to deal with let alone being stigmatized against. There are those that are diagnosed with HIV that stigmatize against themselves at times and don’t even know it. We want society to not use terms that make us feel bad about ourselves and other individuals don’t seem to see that words can cut deep! Especially when someone is first diagnosed with HIV and what we shouldn’t do is make them feel like they are dirty, infected or unclean and it seems to me that a physician should know better along with someone who is diagnosed. Call in and lets have an open discussion about this because everybody’s opinion matters. I AM NOT INFECTED, INFECTIOUS, DISEASED, or UNCLEAN!! I AM SIMPLY A WOMAN DIAGNOSED WITH HIV! THAT’S IT, THAT’S ALL!!!!
