Ron Felber is a graduate of Georgetown University, Loyola University, and Drew University where he earned his Doctorate. Best Selling Author Ron joins Stargate Radio to discuss his upcoming novel, THE UNWELCOMED, available in May.  He brought us the true story of alien abduction with Mojave Incident, and now he brings us a novel based on the true story of demonic possession, a story gifted to him on demonic possession by William Peter Blatty while he filmed The Exorcist in 1971 at Georgetown University.  Is evil a metaphor for the bad things people do or does it prowl the earth like a living, breathing entity that possesses the souls of vulnerable humans? The Unwelcomed begins with the arrival of a young Radcliffe student at the office of renowned psychotherapist, Dr. Morton Prince. Pursued by a city marshal hellbent on solving the murder of two infants strangled by her father, Clara Fowler relives the nightmare that was her childhood—exalted by Visitations from Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin, cursed by the emergence of a demonic presence obsessed with her demise.  Ron's Website
The Unwelcomed should be read with an open mind and all the lights on in the house.”  -George Noory, Coast-to-Coast AM

Sunbury Press Show: Jason Cherry, Author of "William Trent: Factor of Ambition'

    in Books

The life of Major William Trent is shrouded in relative obscurity, but his mark on the Colonial period of early US history cannot be taken from him. The son of a Philadelphia shipping merchant, and the namesake for the capitol of New Jersey, Trent served as the factor for one of the most powerful land speculation companies, known for his impeccable record-keeping and penmanship. By the eve of the American Revolution, Trent was the face of westward expansion. He was also purported to be the giver of smallpox-infected blankets to Natives at Fort Pitt in the summer of 1763.
Author and historian Jason Cherry works to dispel that notion and to tell how Trent served alongside contemporaries such as Benjamin Franklin and George Washington. A research consultant for the 1719 William Trent House Museum and the author of "Pittsburgh's Lost Outpost: Captain Trent's Fort," Cherry brings the biography of Trent forward in this new book. He lives with his family in Butler, Pennsylvania.

But I Digretch: Quirky Short Stories with Gretchen Astro Turner
Whimsical and zany but edged with darkness, evocatively lyrical with goosebump-eliciting endings, Gretchen Astro Turner's 13 short stories in But I Digretch are for the romantic in all of us-but also the cynic. This fiction collection is for the surrealist and the dreamer. It's for those who live by carpe diem or struggle to find their raison d'etre. ...those who love an addict or may be addicts themselves. ...members of the LGBTQ+ community. ...readers who are into vampire lore as well as those who know life may best be understood via metaphor and symbolism.
A logophile and a bibliophile with a Master of Arts in the Teaching of English Language Arts from Columbia University, Turner has written a playful road map through storytelling and language.

    Diane Jones

    in Books

Diane was born with dyslexia, a learning disability that affected her ability to read and spell and impacted hand-eye coordination, making many sports out of her reach. She has a profound reverence for and connection to the natural world. She loves all creatures, but horses stole her heart when she was young. Circumstances did not allow Diane to own a horse growing up, but that did not stop her from searching for the "perfect" equine companion.
Diane dreamed of owning a horse someday. As it often does, life got in the way of making that dream come true until Rudy came along. At 50, she bought a down-on-his-luck chestnut Thoroughbred for 1 dollar. The trajectory of her life changed with that one choice.
Diane is the author of the award-winning Rudy the Rudster children's book series. She is passionate about creating opportunities to connect with children to normalize their feelings and make them feel less alone. She is equally interested in educating people, particularly children, about horses.

Part 2: Close Up Radio Welcomes Back Author Eve Carson

    in Books

Indianapolis, IN – Eve Carson is the author of the book Simple, Safe & Secret: The 1981 Murder of Joan L. Webster. Eve seeks to keep alive the memory of her sister-in-law, Joan Webster, a Harvard Student, who perished in November of 1981, under very suspicious circumstances. Despite being a cold case and meeting resistance at every turn, Eve continues to seek justice for Joan.
“I investigated the investigation itself, and that’s where the problems were,” explains Eve. “It was a fabricated story – verifiably false. Authorities even today have circled the wagons to cover up malfeasance. There are a lot of things that can contribute to authorities being involved.”
In this new two-part radio series, Eve will offer a more detailed perspective surrounding this decades long cold case. Some of the material that Eve will discuss includes the cab driver at Logan Airport that last saw Joan alive, observations surrounding the Webster family, and how the documents that she was able to acquire do not match up with the investigation. She then will conclude with her views on how this case can and should be resolved. “To be silent, would make me complicit,” declares Eve. “Knowledge is very empowering, and has been healing in some regards.”
Eve actively calls for justice even to this day. In fact, she is in the process of starting a nonprofit called Victims of Injustice Speak (VOIS).
