Psychogeography ( a port manteau) is the collision of psychology & geography as a means of exploring the behavioral impact of place.
A term coined by a French philosopher in the 1950's.
Psychogeography is the school of thought of the traveller, wanderer & 'city dweller' - or any individual seeking to understand & make meaning from the built (& tearing down of*) physical environment.
* the tearing down of- is my amendment of course
How is what's going on around us affecting us? besides making us think we must've lost our minds because this corner does not look like where I'm supposed to be!
