Judy Morgan offers some tips for both you and your pet in stressful times. (It's amazing, tips for caring for your animal are very similar to those that care for you, the owner.) Create as much routine as possible -.regular meal times, potty breaks, and playtime can help you & your pets settle in for naps when you really need to have quiet time. You both need regular exercise & water. A walk can help diffuse some energy, and give you time to focus while working. This ties into the idea that we all need occasional breaks. A few minutes of play will assure everyone is ready to get back to work and napping (them, and you).

Teach your pet to practice good behavior consistently by rewarding only good conduct. And, don't neglect puchasing some new toys or treats for the animal to play with or munch on. Aside from exercising and eating, sleep is essential.. Either during the night or napping nearby you during the day, a comfy bed is crucial.

If you desperately need peace and quiet for an important project, phone a friend and arrange a play date. A little social interaction can be good for everyone. Also, use touch; its importance can never be underestimated for your pets or you. We all deserve better!
