Today on It's My House" we shall we shall discuss one of the most misunderstood legal concepts known to man is that is the topic of "adverse possession".  Many people (without a formal legal background) misinterpet the term and they "think" that if they "occupy" a certain piece of real estate for a certain amount of years that they can one day become the "lawful" owner.

Some people might not be patient and wait a certain amount of years; if they come across real estate that (in their imagination) has been abandoned.........they believe they have a legal right to become the lawful owners of said property.................HOWEVER in most cases they usually end up being arrested for "trespassing".
