Born Alfred Petonoquot, he adopted David Languedoc as his name, then was given the Spiritual name - Thundervoice. When given this name he was blessed by the Elder to continue sharing his message with as many people as possible. The Elder felt that Indigenous and non-Indigenous could benefit from his experiences.
At the tender age of 3, David Languedoc was labeled "incorrigible” by the very professionals who were supposed to protect him and look after his well-being. To a little boy, of course, the word itself was meaningless. But he would bear the weight of its implications for a lifetime. Incorrigible, from David Languedoc, is a candid, personal account that illustrates the link between childhood trauma and the development of addictions and mental health issues. Written to give other survivors of childhood trauma hope for a healthier future, Incorrigible follows David's path as he progresses from childhood to adulthood, struggling to understand and overcome unimaginable circumstances.
INCORRIGIBLE was published with the intent to teach others with similar experiences “to never give up’
INCORRIGIBLE is also meant for the professional community to provide personal insight to the power of Unconditional Love, and that many children are intrinsically gifted with Resiliency, that when encouraged will produce unbelievable results.
INCORRIGIBLE was written to profile how quickly addictions can set in.
INCORRIGIBLE was written to illustrate that miracles do happen.
