After Colleen had been unemployed for more than a year, a friend suggested she consider caring for a woman who wanted to remain at home. Within 16 months, Colleen had suffered injuries from two car accidents, so she subcontracted out those two jobs. That’s when a friend suggested she should begin a nonprofit organization and Colleen laughed.
