Jen Pio, M.A.~Forensic Psychologist/The Paranormal in Hawaii

Jen Pio

Jen Pio has her Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology.  She currently provides case management and outreach to the homeless community. She is a wife and mother with four beautiful daughters. Jen was born in Albuquerque, new Mexico.  Her family then moved to California where she grew up in Long Beach.  Jen loves playing softball and enjoying her family.  She has always had experiences of what people call "de ja vu", or as she wouId like to say, "It's been seen". Her oldest daughter showed some psychic abilities at a very young age, but it trickled away as the years passed. She thinks partly because it was not focused on or encouraged enough. They currently live in Westminster, CA.  for almost 2 years since moving from Kea'au, Hawaii where they lived for almost a year and a half. Jen will be speaking with us about the paranormal in Hawaii and her and her families experiences. One of the stories that we all have heard of is The Curse of Pele. "Pele’s Curse is the belief that anything natively Hawaiian, such as sand, rock, or pumice, will impart bad luck on whoever takes it away from the island. One version about the legend’s genesis is this: a disgruntled park ranger, angry at the number of rocks that were being taken from the islands by visitors, said that Pele would curse them with bad luck should they take anything. Another version often told is that bus drivers, tired of the dirt and grime brought on their buses by the tourists’ collection of rocks, started the story at the beginning of each tour to discourage the rock collecting.
