Denise Brown, a Bronx, NY native, graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor’s in Sport & Recreation Management in 2010, and later went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Sport Studies from California University in California, Pennsylvania in 2012.

Brown has held numerous roles within the Sport & Recreation Industry spanning over the past 11 years. She has served under the legendary Tina Sloan-Green with the Black Women in Sport Foundation and is currently the Director of Budget & Reporting in Pace University's Athletics Department. At Pace, she oversees athletics’ financial operations and is the department’s liaison for Human Resources. Prior to Pace, Brown was Athletic Operations and Business Manager at SUNY Maritime.

Brown is an active member of Association of African American Financial Advisors (AAAA), College Athletic Business Management Assoc., Women Leaders in College Sports (formally NACWAA), and Minority Opportunities Athletic Assoc. Most recently, she was a 2020 NCAA Division II Professional Development Grant Recipient. She was also the 2015 NACWAA Grant recipient, graduate of the 2016 Division III NCAA Institute of Administrative Advancement and accepted into the 2018-2019 class for both the Women Leaders in College Sports and MOAA Professional Development Mentorship Programs as a mentee.
