Carolyn A. Sideco, CAA is former athletics director at Immaculate Conception Academy and founder of CoachingKapwa Sports Consultants LLC. Kapwa is a Filipino language word that expresses the collectivist worldview of the sentiment "I am you and you are me"; we are all interconnected and interdependent. She facilitates holistic and integrated personal & professional wellness training and courses for athletic department personnel who want to continue doing the good work in service to young people who play sports. CoachingKapwa cultivates WELL PEOPLE WHO COACH ATHLETES WELL

Coach Sideco started personal wellness practices involving deep identity dives while simultaneously building girl-centered high school educational athletic programs in the San Francisco Bay Area. She examines all sports relationships through a decolonizing lens of an immigrant settler. As an immigrant to America, she applies re-learning and re-remembering practices to unknot her relationship to all levels of sports, distilling the values that sports expresses at its core. She's learned about life through the metaphors she experienced in sports. This new journey of CoachingKapwa conveys her love for educational sports and for the people who align to it.
