With 20 plus years of experience in Higher Education, Tracey Hathaway is a longtime advocate for athletes and the role of athletics in the university landscape. Through her various roles as athletic administrator, coach, and former Division 1 athlete, Tracey has spent her career creating diverse and inclusive athletic environments and motivating students to achieve both athletic and academic goals. Her experience includes serving as the Director of Athletics at Salem State University (MA), and Associate Director of Athletics at both University of Massachusetts-Boston (MA) and Concordia University (TX). In these roles, Tracey implemented new strategies for development of athletic departments, sport oversight, and academic liaison. Her experience also includes a position as Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Roger Williams University (RI).

Tracey is currently the Chief Academic and Athletic Officer for the AthLEDA Foundation. She is also a Success Coach at Stack Education, an IT boot camp. A Worcester, Massachusetts native, Tracey gained her education as an undergraduate at the University of Rhode Island, and as a graduate at Northeastern University. She is currently in the process of completing her PhD at the University of Massachusetts-Boston where she is researching the experiences of black women student athletes.
