Jolisa Williams became Asst. AD for Media Relations at Bowie State University in August 2021 and is in charge of media relations for all 13 athletics programs. She is from Charles City, VA, and graduated from Saint Augustine University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management. She was the starting point guard and contributed to winning the 2009-10 CIAA Western Division title. After graduation, she obtained her Master's Degree from Virginia State University in 2014.

Prior to Bowie State, Williams was Asst. AD for Media Relations at Shaw University. She hosted a weekly podcast called the "Shaw Report" and led the streaming platform “The Shaw Bears Sports Network.” She also handled publicity for the 2016 women’s volleyball team, managed the 2018 CIAA championship run for the Lady Bears volleyball team, and covered the Lady Bear’s tennis team's (2017-2019) CIAA championship and multiple NCAA tournament appearances.

WIlliams was named the “CIAA John Holley Sports Information Director of the Year” for 2018-2019 and has served as a member of the CIAA Management Council since 2017.

In 2014, she became the Dir. of Sports Information and Marketing at Richard Bland College. While there, she was the main contact for all nine sports teams and was responsible for the 2015 Region 10 regular-season championship softball team and five track and field national qualifiers.
