Lauren Turner, LCSW (she/her) is CEO of The Turner Practice. She's a Sports Social Worker based out of Los Angeles, CA and specializes in working with Professional Black Athletes who are struggling with overcoming self-doubt. She uses mindfulness and humor to support professional athletes in various stages of competition as they learn to trust their instincts and build strong relationships.

Lauren is a LA native, graduate of University of Southern California MSW program, former NCAA collegiate athlete and current marathoner, wife and mother. She's also co-founder of The Official Hey Boo Podcast (@theofficialheyboo) about mental health and
sexuality across the lifespan found on IGTV.

Lauren is the author of The Athlete’s Guide to Mindfulness: An Adult Playbook which is a tool to help high performing people learn how to tap into mindfulness strategies in performance and life. She's currently in training to complete CMPC (Certified Mental Performance Coach) requirements and looks to use these concepts in treatment to subsidize support for elite athletes and performers.

Lauren uses a multicultural approach to therapy in addition to providing support to clients including normalizing mental health through social media and public speaking.
