Brandy Gresham is the Director of Student-Athlete Well-Being and Mental Health Counselor for Norfolk State University’s (NSU) Athletic Department. She provides mental health support and wellness services to 300+ student-athletes.

Gresham has 19+ years of collective experience in Mental Health & Substance Abuse Counseling and Athletics/Sports. She's worked with various populations within the private, state and government sectors. She founded Morning’s Light LLC, which facilitates her professional ability to increase the necessary “conversation” of openly and comfortably addressing the positive outcomes of improving and or maintaining one’s Mental Health and Well-Being. Its services include a variety of behavioral health programming such as stress and anger management, life-interpersonal skills coaching, individual outpatient therapy, consulting, trainings, and speaking engagements.

Gresham received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Community and Clinical Psychology from NSU. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Certified Advance Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Certified Traumatologist. She is also a Certified Seeking Safety Facilitator and a Mental Health First Aid Trainer.
