Shauna graduated from Brock University (BSM), completed a Sport Business Management Graduate Certificate from Durham College, and earned a Master of Science and Sports Management degree from West Virginia University.

She is currently the President/CEO of Inclusion in Canadian Sports Network and the Manager of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Student Experience for the Ontario University Athletics. She provides expertise and advice to internal and external communities regarding Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion related matters within the Canadian amateur sports industry. 

Shauna has been appointed to several committees in sports and her community, including Canada Games Council, Canadian Women in Sports and Speed Skating, Durham Region Anti-Racism Taskforce, and DRPS Diversity Advisory Committee.

One of 10 Canadians to sit on the Federal Ministerial Advisory Committee on Sport, she developed, implemented and executed the first Diversity in Sports Conference with a focus on amateur sport.

Shauna's accolades include being named among 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women and Canada's Top 100 Black Women to Watch. She received the Governor General Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers and the Toronto Sport Hall of Honour – Community Sport Volunteer of the Year.
