Tanaira Rounds, is a Los Angeles native. She was a volleyball student-athlete at Talladega College, where she earned a Bachelors of Art in Biology.

Early in her professional career, she was Head Volleyball Coach at Evangel Christian Academy in Louisiana. She led their Varsity, JV, and Middle School teams to multiple district championships and their first ever appearance in the second round of state playoffs.

In 2020, Tanaira transitioned back to Talladega College as Head Volleyball Coach and was later named Senior Woman Administrator. She also earned a MBA in Management from Talladega, graduating magna cum laude.

As Talladega’s Director of Intercollegiate Academic Teams and Recruiting, Tanaira has found a new avenue to blend her love for athletics and academics. She manages 15 academic teams, including ESports, quiz bowl, ethical hacking teams, chess, and many more. Her work in this role exemplifies her belief that every student is competitive in nature and deserves access to opportunities beyond the athletic field.

As an aspiring athletic director, Tanaira continues to push boundaries, envisioning a future where athletics and academics work hand-in-hand to create well-rounded, empowered students who are ready to tackle life’s challenges.
