Identity theft is the illegal acquisition of one’s Personal Identifiable Information (PII). Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the country according to the FBI. It has been the number one complaint the FTC has received for the last 17 years. There are a number of areas of identity theft-Financial, Medical, Motor Vehicle, Criminal, Child, Tax, Synthetic, and Social Security. Identity theft originates from some type of breach, which creates data loss and identity theft generally follows. Join attorney Ted McGinn and his guest, Ed Haag of Undo Identity Theft Inc., as they shed light on the dark web and discuss how to protect yourself from falling victim to identity theft.
