Redwood City, CA – Author F. Scott Fitzgerald once wrote, “There are no second acts in American lives.” But that’s not really true anymore, is it? You might retire at 65 and live another 30 years.
“Retirement is not the end,” says Clea Holdridge. “There is a third chapter, and it’s a wonderful time because you have your experience, your talents, your wisdom, and you can finally do the things you never got to do, the dreams you’d put aside.”
Clea is a life and health coach and the founder of Clear Coaching Now, a coaching practice dedicated to helping seniors look to the third chapter in life with love, excitement and confidence.
“When you retire, you begin to feel like you’re waiting for something, but you don’t quite know what,” says Clea. “I decided I had so much more to give and so much more to contribute to people my age and older.”
According to Clea, growing older is a privilege, not a curse. You’ve experienced life, but there are things that are unique to you still waiting to be expressed. What better time than now to create something beautiful?
“In my view, older people tend to look backward and have doubt that they can create a new path for themselves, but there are many opportunities to feel youthful and do what you love to do,” says Clea. “My job is subtle. I lead without leading. I push without pushing. I set a model that works. Once we see what’s going on inside ourselves, we can create a harmony. It will extend your life and you will be healthier and happier.”
