Janae Shirley ETBU Softball

Episode 4: Janae Shirley, Head Softball Coach, East Texas Baptist University, discusses the upcoming season.  East Texas Baptist University was predicted to finish in third place with 290 points in the American Southwest Conference Poll.  ETBU will be returning 11 players from last year's team that finished 38-11 overall and 25-5 in the conference. ETBU won the Marshall Regional last year advancing to their second Super Regional in four years. Returning with Anderson, Lewis, and Tello are sophomores Morgan Arst, Heaven McDonald, Madison Prince, and Sabrina Salts, junior Taylor Sieber, and seniors Alexis Nixon and Brea Robinson.  Three players named to the Preseason Players to Watch list. These include Jordan Anderson, Linzie Lewis, and Rocki Tello. Anderson was named ASC Co-Newcomer of the Year and ASC First Team as an at-large selection. Lewis was selected as All-ASC First Team along with being named an NFCA All-American. She was also named a Top 10 Finalist for the NFCA National Player of the Year.
