Episode 5: Jason Bryant Jennings and Brandon Elliott, Head Coach of Virginia Wesleyan Softball, recap opening weekend for the squad. The Marlins swept Meredith with wins of 5-1 and 12-2 (5). Game 1: Hanna Hull racked up 17K's, while Madison Glaubke and Jessica Lindsay each drove in two runs. Game 2: The Marlins scored nine in the opening inning. Cara Hall picked up the win as she pitched 3.0 scoreless innings. Alana Peters threw the final two, striking out five. Overall: Kierseten Richardson, who led the country in stolen bases, stole three of the teams seven in the two game series. The season continues at 2 p.m. on Tuesday as North Carolina Wesleyan visits Marlin Park.
