Episode 6: Jason Bryant Jennings and Brandon Elliott, Head Coach of Virginia Wesleyan Softball, recap the series against N.C. Wesleyan which saw the Marlins win (5-0) and (4-2). In G1 against NCW, Hanna Hull had 11 strikeouts in a complete game shutout. In G2, Carla Hall earned her second win as a Marlin, pitching 3.0 innings and striking out three and allowing the only two runs. Hull collected her first save of the year, dealing 2.1 innings and striking out three as well. VWU took down WP behind Glaubke's two homers and a performance from Hull that saw her grab 10 more strikeouts in 4.2 innings. Against Salem, Hull continued her masterful season getting her first-ever collegiate perfect game and her second no-hitter. Julia Sinnett scored on a RBI Single by Beth Ford. The two also recap the William Peace Tournament. During the WPT, VWU defeated William Peace (6-4), Salem (1-0), Piedmont (7-1) and Averett (2-1) moving to an overall record of 8-0 for the season. March 2nd, the Marlins will kickoff the NFCA D-III Leadoff Classic in Tuscon, Arizona.
