Episode 25: Larissa Anderson, Head Coach of Mizzou Softball, joins the program to recap opening weekend. The Tigers left the Kajikawa Classic with an overall record of (3-2). Mizzou defeated Utah 9-0 (6inn), Arizona State 8-0 (5inn) before falling 6-1 to Oregon and 4-3 (8inn) to Oregon State and ending the weekend beating rival Kansas 3-2. In the first day, Freshman Geana Torres tole the show at the plate today, going a perfect 2-2 in what was her Mizzou debut, including a grand slam against Arizona State in the first inning, while Madi Norman and Cassie Gasper both dominated from the circle. While Day 2 saw the Tigers fall to Oregon, Hattie Moore and Kim Wert led the charge over Oregon State. Moore picked up two of the three runs for Mizzou in her first multi-RBI game of the season. Wert went 2-4 with her second HR of the season. To finish the weekend, Mizzou won a hard-fought battle against Kansas.
