In their new series on the Scriptural theme of "new creation," pastors Erica, Sarah, and Steve take a look at two New Testament passages that remind us that the new creation isn't just "out there" in the world, but that we ourselves need to be made into new creations "in here" inside each of us. And beyond that, the early Christian community saw that part of God's "new thing" was creating a new kind of people who weren't bound by language, custom, culture, or history, and a community in which there were no longer to be privileges and prejudices along the lines of gender, class, or ethnicity. But that has been a challenge actually living out for the past 2,000 years--in fact, we've never done a very good job at really living up to that idea of "new creation" in which male and female, Jew and Greek, free and slave, were all treated with equal value and dignity. So join us for a new conversation in which we explore the Scriptures and also look at how each of us bring our own blind-spots that make it hard to see where we are in need of our own renewal. That's this week, here on Crazy Faith Talk!
