Kara Rittenhouse is a lover of all things visual. She began with a major at Kent State University in photography, but eventually found her way to Film School in Florida at Full Sail University. Beginning with being the Lighting/Grip Repair tech at Panavision Orlando (who no longer has that department) eventually realizing camera department is where she belonged. She day-played several years in the Orlando market and eventually transferred out to Los Angeles. There she worked on many Hallmark, and Lifetime movies accruing her IATSE days and soon after landed on the Fox show, “Bones”, where she worked and played for 9 seasons as a Film Loader, 2nd Camera Assistant, and Media Handler. Soon she discovered SCUBA, and underwater photography. She left the Film Biz for her new UW passions and also for still work where she is now doing portraits, branding, lifestyle and yes some underwater portraits and video with her company Karakuda Photography. With a love for healing work, she is now focusing on helping people to show their authentic light to the world and to their ideal clients. Kara is now based out of Fenton, Michigan, but travels regularly for shoots around the country and soon the world.
