Locs Are Not Dreadful!!

In many cases, not only are black women forced to change their hair styles in school or at their professional jobs, but there are cases of black men being forced to cut their locs to be able to particpate in sports, or even graduation. The recent scandal that came about was a chicago organization that is helping black men cut their locs off to 'better their lifestyle,' as they say. California is the first state to pass a law banning discrimination on the basis of hair, but should there have had to have been a law passed about hair discrimination in the first place?
