Bernard Starr, PhD is a psychologist, journalist, and Professor Emeritus at the City University of New York (Brooklyn College). He is the author Escape Your Own Prison: Why We Need Spirituality and Psychology To Be Truly Free, which explores spirituality as a psychology of consciousness. Starr has written, produced and hosted an award-winning radio commentary (WEVD-1050AM NYC), “The Longevity Report,” as well as television documentaries on productive living in the third age of life. He currently publishes on major Internet news sites including the Huffington Post, OpEdNews, Salon, and the Religion and Spirituality section of United Press International.
