Sleep may not simply be an opportunity to dream. In fact, sleep difficulties appear to be an overlooked driver of both mental health challenges and physical challenges such as pain management. And an inability to experience restful sleep may, in fact, be a predictor of complex disability claims. Carol Harnett, president of The Council for Disability Awareness, speaks in this episode with Ian Bridgman, a CDA board member and executive director of The Claim Lab, and colleague Fred Schott (The CDA's director of operations and research) about the complex interactions among sleeplessness, mental health, and disability.
