Domestic Violence is ALWAYS associated with a man hitting the woman. There is another side – the woman hitting, verbally abusing and provoking the man. There is a double standard of “Boys/Men do not hit girls/women” When a boy or man defends himself against a female hitting and attacking, it is immediately assumed that he is the instigator. There are many stories of girls and women beating boys and men – the boys and men are viewed as weak or inferior because they are trying to restrain rather than fight back.
